What is KidZania

Playing it Big

KidZania is safe and interactive education and entertainment indoor theme park that allows children to role-play adult activities in a replica city designed to simulate real-life and a functioning economy.

For children between the ages of 4 to 14, KidZania allows children to lead independent lives and get to understand the world of grown-ups better by being grown-ups themselves.

The City of Kids

Etymologically the name of KidZania was created using the word “Kid” an abbreviation of the word “kinder” which means children, “ania” a Latin suffix which means “land of” and “Z” in reference to the word “zany” which means “cool” – that is to say, “land of cool kids”.

Playing is a successful way to guarantee that children develop a positive attitude towards learning. Children will use that learning experience and apply it subsequently in their daily life.

The third KidZania state in South East Asia and the eleventh in the world, KidZania Kuala Lumpur – The City of Kids is an indoor theme park designed for the construction of new learning through role-play activities and the real-life application of the knowledge acquired in the classroom.

What is KidZania –The City of Kids?

lt is an educational & entertainment centre for kids. It is also the first centre of its kind to offer kids from all over the world activities based on the oldest known game:

  KidZania is a city for kids where the most common establishments found in every city are recreated, such as; a hospital, a fire station, a beauty salon, a bank, a radio station, a TV studio, a supermarket, a pizza restaurant, a car dealership, a theatre and much more.

  Play grown-ups
  At each of KidZania’s establishments, kids imitate adults while they perform more than 90 different real-life roles, such as; a baker, a mechanic, a model, a doctor, a painter and an actor, among others.
• 
  With our own currency
  KidZania has its own currency: the kidZo. With kidZos, kids can get a feel of spending money as they purchase goods or services; they can buy items at the department store, earn kidZos by working and deposit them in a savings account in the bank.

  Play lt Big and learn
  Not only is KidZania a place filled with fun and entertainment, in this city kids learn new things, reinforce the knowledge acquired at school and value the importance of each of the different roles and activities existing within a city. All thanks to a great tool: role-play!

  High-tech security system
  Since the city boasts a state-of-the-art security system, adults need not worry about letting kids experience KidZania by themselves.
